Canon USA - Canon EOS 5d mark IV.

ROLE: Editing, Color Grading, Compositing, Animation, VFX, Sound Design

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.

My role in this campaign for Canon USA was primarily color grading, digital compositing, VFX and Sound Design to announce the creative abilities of the new Canon EOS 5d mark IV. These pieces were featured on Canon’s various media channels.

Aces High

My role for this project encompassed several critical aspects of post-production. I was responsible for the compositing, visual effects (VFX), and sound design for the video’s introduction, creating a visually engaging and immersive opening sequence. Additionally, I handled the color grading for the entire video, ensuring a consistent and professional look throughout. This involved meticulous attention to detail to enhance the overall visual appeal and maintain a cohesive aesthetic that aligned with the project’s vision.

Brucie Interrupted

Here is a better example of my sound design on the video piece above, this short clip was also used as a promotion for Canon’s Explorer of Light Bruce Dorn’s various social media channels.

Seeing Double

My role for this piece was focused on color grading, a crucial aspect of post-production that significantly impacts the overall visual quality of the video. Using DaVinci Resolve, I meticulously adjusted the colors, contrast, and brightness to create a cohesive and visually appealing look that aligned with the project’s artistic vision. This process involved enhancing the natural tones, correcting any color imbalances, and ensuring that each scene had a consistent and professional finish. By carefully applying these techniques, I was able to bring out the best in the footage, adding depth and dimension to the visuals and elevating the overall viewing experience.

Studio Fashion

In this project, I handled editing, color grading, and compositing work using After Effects, which were all crucial in shaping the final visual quality. I used DaVinci Resolve to adjust colors, contrast, and brightness, creating a cohesive and visually appealing look that aligned with the project’s artistic vision. My After Effects work involved compositing to enhance specific scenes, adding depth and dynamic elements. Together, these efforts ensured a consistent, professional finish that elevated the overall viewing experience.

Wild Ponies

For the “Wild Ponies” project, I handled both editing and color grading, using DaVinci Resolve to enhance the footage and achieve the desired mood and aesthetic. I balanced the color palette, refined contrast, and adjusted brightness to highlight the natural beauty of each scene. My editing work ensured a cohesive narrative, while careful frame-by-frame examination maintained uniformity and visual harmony. The result was a polished, vibrant visual narrative that effectively captured the essence of “Wild Ponies” and made the imagery more compelling for the audience.
