Case Study

Auto CES 2026 - Google.

ROLE: AI Filmmaker, Prompt Engineering, AI Art Direction, Production Research & Visual Development

Producing AI-generated video that's indistinguishable from live-action requires more than good prompts. As AI Filmmaker on a project for Google's CES 2026 debut, I contributed to a series of high-impact automotive films showcasing an intelligent, context-aware vehicle AI for a fictional brand built to appeal directly to major OEMs. Every shot was engineered for maximum realism, combining 3D assets with cutting-edge generative video to capture scenic routes from Zurich to Geneva with cinematic precision.

The goal was simple: make it look real. Not “good for AI” real. Actually real. Each scene was researched down to the geographic and atmospheric level. If a shot called for a vehicle on a specific stretch of freeway outside Zurich, we pulled up Google Maps to study the exact road geometry, surrounding landscape, and infrastructure. Then we researched the season, the typical weather for that time of year, and calculated the precise sun angle for that location and time of day. That level of production research informed every prompt, every iteration, and every creative decision.

The directive from Google was to “just make it look cool.” We took that seriously. Combining 3D assets with AI-generated video, we built hyper-realistic environments across scenic routes from Zurich to Geneva, maintaining a cohesive, stylized look across the full series. Some shots took an entire day to get right. That’s not inefficiency, that’s craft.
